This research into the risks posed by auto-play was supported by feedback from our interim Experts by Experience (EbE) group and by data provided by GamCare (opens in new tab) from its online support forum for service users. Prohibiting auto-play functionality for online slotsĭue to our evolving view of risk and research which cites auto-play as a potential contributing factor to gambling related harms, we proposed removing auto-play for online slots, which is the product most heavily associated with auto-play functionality.
